Here's the hi-res model showing the clouds going away:ezgif.com-video-to-gif (1)Highs will be a few degrees above average.DAY1HIGHSSevere weather will break out across the middle of the country this afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center actually has the Valley in the "Marginal" risk zone tonight as there is a small chance that showers and thunderstorms produce damaging winds late tonight as they come east.DAY1I am not impressed with the chance for thunder overnight but thunder or not....there will be some strong winds in the region late tonight and tomorrow. This animation shows the wind field at 5,000 feet expanding and strengthening over the next 36 hours.  We don't live at 5,000 feet of course but some of that wind energy can get pulled down to the surface...especially in showers.ezgif.com-video-to-gifThere can be gusts to 40-45 mph late tonight and tomorrow. Otherwise, tomorrow will feature variable amounts of clouds, spotty showers and falling afternoon temperatures behind the front.thumapRain totals through Thursday will likely average 0.20".ModelRainFRIDAY: Still WINDY Friday with gusts to 40 mph or so.
